ای جهان از صفت ذات تو پر
عالم از حجت اثبات تو پر

هیچ جا نیست که غوغای تو نیست
پرتو روی دلارای تو نیست

تو چنین ظاهر و ما کور بصر
تو چنین حاضر و ما دور نگر

نور تو گر نبود ما چه کنیم
چشم بینا دل دانا چه کنیم

نیست از غایت کوته نظری
خبر ما ز تو جز بی خبری

گرچه جامی بود از بیخبران
چه شود گر به طفیل دگران

بخشی از هستی خویشش خبری
بندی از طاعت خویشش کمری

در دلش تخم هدایت کاری
بر گلش ابر عنایت باری

مهرش از مهره گل بگشایی
زنگش از چهره دل بزدایی

پا به کاشانه قربت نهیش
می ز میخانه وحدت دهیش

English translation

O world, full of the attributes of Your Essence, The universe, full of the proofs of Your demonstration! There is no place that is empty of Your clamor, Nor is there any place without the ray of Your heart-adorning face. You are so manifest, yet we are blind of sight; You are so present, yet we look so far away. Without Your light, what can we do? What can we do with a seeing eye and a knowing heart? Due to our extreme short-sightedness, Our only news of You is our utter unawareness. Although Jami is one of the unaware, What would it matter if, for the sake of others, You grant him some awareness of Your Being, And bind around his waist the belt of Your obedience? Sow the seed of guidance in his heart, And pour the cloud of Your grace upon his clay. Release his seal from the bead of clay, And wipe the rust from the mirror of his heart. Let him step into the abode of proximity, And give him wine from the tavern of Unity.
