ای ز هر رو همه را روی به تو
روی هر ذره ز هر سوی به تو
کار ما چیست گنه ورزیدن
عادت تو گنه آمرزیدن
توبه از بنده بود سست نهاد
توبه آنست کش از توست گشاد
بار نه بار فکن هر دو تویی
توبه ده توبه شکن هر دو تویی
هر که شد گمشده تیه گناه
جز به توبه نشود روی به راه
جامی گمشده را بخش نجات
توبه روزی کن و بر توبه ثبات
نخوت توبه برون بر ز سرش
دیدن توبه بپوش از نظرش
پیش آن دیده که روشن نظر است
دیدن توبه گناه دگر است
می زند این همه از هستی سر
کس نخورد از شجر هستی بر
از ورع هر که زبردستی یافت
پنجه زورور هستی تافت
English translation
O You to Whom everyone's face is turned in every way, The face of every atom is turned toward You from every direction. What is our work but to commit sin? And what is Your custom but to forgive sin? Repentance from a frail-natured servant is weak-founded, True repentance is that which is opened by You. The loader of the burden and the remover of the burden are both You; The giver of repentance and the breaker of repentance are both You. Whoever becomes lost in the desert of sin, Cannot find the path except through repentance. Grant salvation to the lost Jami, Bestow upon him repentance and steadfastness in it. Take away the pride of repentance from his head, And veil the seeing of repentance from his sight. Before the eyes of those who possess clear vision, To see one's own repentance is yet another sin. All of this springs from the self-existence, No one has ever eaten fruit from the tree of self-existence. Whoever achieved mastery through piety, Turned back the powerful hand of self-existence.
