ای دل و دیده صاحبنظران
از خیالت به جمال دگران

روی در روی تو باشد همه را
چشم دل سوی تو باشد همه را

همه جا پرتو رویت نگرند
پا ز سر کرده به سویت گذرند

به هوای تو نشینند به هم
به تمنای تو بینند به هم

هر نوایی که به جایی شنوند
که ازان بوی وفایی شنوند

پای تا سر همگی گوش شوند
با غمت دست در آغوش شوند

آستین بر سر جان افشانند
دامن از میل جهان افشانند

بنده جامی نه ازان انجمن است
لیک در دامنشان دستزن است

مگسل دست وی از دامنشان
خوشه چینی دهش از خرمنشان

از نم زرق و ریا پاکش کن
در ره صدق و صفا خاکش کن

English translation

O heart and eye of those of deep vision, From Your thought in the beauty of others, All have their face turned toward Your face, All have the eye of their heart set upon You. Everywhere they look, they see the ray of Your countenance, Running headlong, they make their way toward You. In desire for You, they sit together, In yearning for You, they look upon one another. Every melody that they hear anywhere, From which they perceive the scent of loyalty, They become entirely ears from head to foot, And they embrace the grief of Your love. They wave their sleeves over their very souls, And shake their skirts free from the desire of the world. The servant Jami is not of that assembly, But his hand is clutching their skirt. Do not sever his hand from their skirt, Grant him to glean from their harvest. Purify him from the damp of deceit and hypocrisy, And make him as dust in the path of sincerity and purity.
