Original content

English translation

A fox cub said to the fox, 'O you who are aware of the trickery of the village dogs! Teach me a trick now, so that through it, I will have no fear of dogs.' He replied, 'I see no trick better than this: that you remain in the wilderness and he in the village. Let his eyes not fall on you, nor yours on him, otherwise he will chase after you; he will tear—unless the Truth (God) becomes your helper— your fur coat from your back and the skin from your head.'
