بخش ۱۵ - پرسیدن پسر از سبب نقصان عشق عارف که عاشقق معنی بود به واسطه نقصان حسن صورت / Section 15 - The Son Asking the Gnostic about the Cause of the Decline of His Love, Since He Was a Lover of Meaning but Had Declined Due to the Loss of Physical Form Beauty

Original content

English translation

One day that youth said to the gnostic: 'O knower of hidden secrets, Since your heart was captive to meaning, Love of meaning was superior to form. The beauty of meaning does not fade; Love for it is free from decline. Why has your love fallen into decline? Why is your heart turned away from me?' The gnostic, when he heard that question, Saw no choice but to answer the question. He said: 'Where meaning manifests, There is no path for the illusion of defect and decline. Its beauty is eternal and everlasting; Its love is without deficiency and without flaw. Whoever was captivated by the beauty of meaning, The hand of change is short from him. But meaning, except in the garment of form, Does not manifest to the people of vision. From whatever form It shows Its face, It adorns it with Its own beauty. It pours a draught of Its beauty upon it; It drapes its own ornament upon it. A world becomes afflicted by It, Bound to Its fidelity. But each, according to their own capacity, Adopts the way of love.'
