English translation

There was a bald man in love with a beautiful beloved, A playful one with musk-scented locks. By chance, one day the beloved had A private gathering with an endearing companion like themselves. Both of them were sitting alone in pleasure, Having closed the door to any outsider. The bald lover heard news of their state; He went and boldly knocked on the door. Someone from inside called out, 'Who is it? Why are you making a clamor at this untimely hour? This door is not to be opened, turn back; Unless you are a cold fool, do not beat cold iron! This is a private, special gathering and an intimate conversation, And the curl of the beloved's tress is in hand. Whoever knocks on the door is only measuring the wind, Because even a hair cannot fit in between.' He said, 'Open the door, do not seek excuses, Because I myself am bald and have no hair! A hair has no way into this space; Thank God, I am entirely free of hair.'
