بخش ۲۹ - حکایت مناظره کلیم در نواحی طور با آن سیه گلیم مهجور که چرا سجده آدم نکردی و سر به طوق لعنت درآوردی / Section 29 - The Story of the Debate of the Speaker (Moses) in the Regions of Mount Sinai with That Rejected, Black-Garbed One (Satan) as to Why He Did Not Prostrate to Adam and Put His Head in the Collar of Curse

English translation

The son of Amran (Moses), with a heart drowned in light, Was going towards Mount Sinai for communion. On the way, he saw the leader of the epoch, The commander of the army of the rejected (Satan). He said: 'From the prostration of Adam, for what reason Did you turn your face away from approval? Tell the truth.' He said: 'A lover who is perfect in his spiritual journey Does not prostrate before anyone other than the Beloved.' Moses said: 'By the command of the Friend, Anyone who is truly His servant with all their soul bows their head.' He said: 'The purpose of that speech and debate Was a test for the lover, not the prostration.' Moses said: 'If this is the state, Why are curses and reproaches your custom? When, due to the King's wrath, Your angelic robe became a satanic one on you?' He said: 'These two attributes are both borrowed, They are kept in one corner apart from the essence. If a hundred of these come or go, The state of my essence will not change. My essence remains upon its own quality, His love is a necessity of my essence. Until now, my love was mixed, It was suspended in my accidents. It possessed black fortune and white day, At every moment I was subject to fear and hope. At this moment, I have escaped from that struggle, And sat down behind the knee of loyalty. His grace and wrath have all become of one color to me, Mountain and straw have all become of equal weight to me. Love washed the trace of desire from my heart, I play love with love itself, and that is all.'
