English translation

A well-wisher, especially one who is his helper, Has appeared as being of the same essence as him. He has taken residence in the shadow of his fortune, Following behind him like a shadow. Wherever this sun is, that is its ray; Wherever that leader is, this one is the follower. Although born on the cradle of the caliphate, He has not taken a single step against him. He is the ruler of the Egypt of majesty and grandeur, For which reason they named him Joseph. His beautiful countenance is the envy of Joseph, A world is madly in love with him like Zulaykha. Whoever beholds his face Raises the cry, 'This is not a human!' Although he is but one brother to the king, He is equal to a hundred souls to the king. He has become both a brother and a friend to the king, Which is very rare in this world. A simple man said to a wise scholar: 'O you who are distinguished in knowledge in the eyes of every free person, Unveil the skin of this hidden point: Is a brother better, or a companion and friend?' He said: 'To the wise, there is nothing better Than a brother who is also a friend.' O Lord, in the heavens through months and years, As long as the separation of the Farqadan is impossible, Keep these two stars shining together, Eternal upon the throne of generosity.
