سبحة الابرار / Subhat al-Abrar (Rosary of the Pious)

سبحة الابرار (Subhat al-Abrar, the Rosary of the Pious) is the fourth masnavi of Jami's Haft Awrang, a didactic Sufi poem completed in the early 1480s. It is organized as a string of forty عقد (knots, like the beads of a rosary), each devoted to a spiritual or ethical station — for example sincerity (اخلاص), generosity (جود), contentment (قناعت), humility (تواضع), and forbearance (حلم). Each knot characteristically closes with a مناجات (intimate supplication) marking the seeker's transition from one station to the next, often followed by an illustrative حکایت (anecdote). The numbered مناجات sections in this course — such as the transition from generosity to contentment — are these transitional supplications and belong under this masnavi rather than directly under the whole Haft Awrang collection.
