سبحةالابرار / Subhat al-Abrar (Rosary of the Pious)

سبحةالابرار (Subhat al-Abrar, the Rosary of the Pious) is the fourth of the seven masnavis that make up Jami's Haft Awrang. It is organized as a string of forty عقد (knots, like the beads of a prayer rosary), each devoted to a single ethical or Sufi virtue — including repentance, sincerity (sidq), modesty (haya), spiritual zeal (ghayrat), freedom (hurriyat), and contentment (qana'at). Each knot pairs a homiletic discourse on its virtue with an illustrative story, and its numbered sections (بخش) are these individual knots and their supplications.
