سبحة الابرار / Subhat al-Abrar (The Rosary of the Pious) — Fourth Masnavi of Haft Awrang

Subhat al-Abrar (سبحة الابرار)

Subhat al-Abrar (The Rosary of the Pious) is the fourth masnavi within Jami's collection Haft Awrang (the Seven Thrones), corresponding to the 7-4 sequence of the work. It is an ethical and mystical poem organized as a series of numbered 'knots' (عقد), each treating a spiritual virtue — such as repentance, sincerity, generosity, contentment, humility, forbearance, and trust in God. Each knot is followed by a مناجات (supplication) that voices devotional longing and marks the transition to the next theme.

This work is the direct container for those individual section-poems, including the closing supplications that move from the poet's self toward the readers (Section 126) and toward the poem's conclusion (Section 129). Placing Subhat al-Abrar between the whole Haft Awrang collection and its constituent sections preserves the structural path Collection → Work → Section, rather than hanging each section directly off the entire collection.
