سبحةالابرار / Subhat al-Abrar (The Rosary of the Pious)

سبحةالابرار (Subhat al-Abrar, The Rosary of the Pious) is the fourth masnavi of Jami's Haft Awrang, composed around 1482 in the manner of Nizami's Makhzan al-Asrar. It is a didactic Sufi poem built as a chain of forty knots (عقد), evoking the beads of a rosary (سبحة). Each knot expounds an ethical or mystical station — among them repentance, sincerity (ikhlas), freedom (hurriyyat), spiritual chivalry (futuwwah), contentment, and humility — and is usually paired with a munajat (supplication) and illustrative anecdotes. The numbered sections (بخش) of this poem, including its individual knots and their supplications, belong under this specific masnavi rather than directly under the whole Haft Awrang collection.
