یوسف و زلیخا / Yusof va Zoleykha (Jami)

Yusof va Zoleykha

Yusof va Zoleykha is the fifth of the seven narrative masnavis that make up Jami's Haft Awrang (the 'Seven Thrones'). It is a book-length Persian verse romance that retells the Quranic and Biblical story of Joseph (Yusof) and Zulaikha, elaborated with Sufi allegory of divine love and beauty.

The poem is divided into numbered sections (بخش / bakhsh), which narrate the story in sequence — for example the growth of the brothers' envy, Joseph's dream, his casting into the well, his time in Egypt, his imprisonment, and his eventual reunion with his family.

This node is the intermediate literary container between the whole collection Haft Awrang and each individual section. Its purpose is to preserve the structural path Jami → Haft Awrang → Yusof va Zoleykha → Section (بخش), so that the many bakhsh nodes are grouped under the specific poem they belong to rather than attached directly to the seven-poem collection.
