Original content

English translation

Within the outward form of every story, There is a share of meaning for the subtle observers. Now that the outward form of this story has ended, You must find satisfaction in its meaning. A guide of the path has established this, One who has led the way to the core of the matter. The purpose thereof is not the mere chatter of you and me, But rather the disclosure of the secret of your state and mine. Who does he mean by the King and the Sage? And how was Salaman born from the King without a mate? Who is Absal, successful with Salaman? What is the mountain of fire and the sea of water? What is the kingdom that Salaman attained? How did he draw his skirt away from Absal? Who is Zuhrah who finally stole his heart, And wiped the rust of Absal from his mirror? Hear the explanation of these, one by one, from me; Be ears from head to toe, and become pure intelligence.
