English translation

Abu Bakr was a dead man in this manner, Delivered from the deceit of hypocrisy, trickery, and guile. Therefore, when the Prophet saw him traveling The path in this dark world of dust, he said: 'Whoever among the creation, old and new, Wishes to gaze upon a walking dead man, tell him to go And look at the deer with the musk-gland, Gaze upon the son of Abu Quhafah.' While he was dead in this manner, the group of discord, Out of ignorance, accuse him of hypocrisy— Saying, 'What does this mine of truthfulness and hypocrisy mean? What does being drowned in union and separation mean?' He was a mirror of absolute purity, In which the reflection of the onlookers was visible. Whoever looked at him, whether good or bad, Saw in him the reflection of their own face. A taunt against him from a spiteful soul Is like the taunts of the ugly against a mirror. An ugly person, due to their evil nature, Places the blame of their own ugliness on none other than the mirror.
