Original content

English translation

In the curve of this circle, O painter, How long will you remain bound to every fleeting form? Abandon the form, go towards the formless; Why do you keep your eyes pawned to every image? The form is like a veil, and you, out of coldness, Have become inclined to the veil, behind the screen. Cast off this veil from your seclusion, And warm your cold heart with His fire. Escaping from this veil that is upon your soul Is not possible without the help of a spiritual guide. And that pure pearl was not found everywhere; The mine of that pearl was the dust of Bukhara. The coin that they minted in Yathrib and Batha, In the final turn, they struck it in Bukhara. No one benefited from the inscription on that coin Except the formless heart of the King Naqshband. The Master, out of pure servitude, Girded his loin of servitude in the ranks of purity. He placed the crown of splendor (Baha) upon the head of religion, And opened the lock of desire from the door of religion. He is the pole of certainty, the point of monotheism; The robe of religion is his cloak of detachment. No one spoke of the secret of annihilation better than him, And no one pierced the pearl of subsistence better than him. His beginning is the end of every advanced seeker, And from his end, the pocket of desire is left empty. His shadow has its foot rubbing the earth, While his station has its foot on the top of the Throne. His outward form is perfectly aligned with the scale of Sharia, His soul and life draw their life from the soul of Sharia. To the seekers of Truth, through his special glances, He has given deliverance from false thoughts. Whoever reached that treasure of grace Carried his baggage from the beginning to the ultimate end. The guide of journey in the homeland (safar dar watan), A secluded one in the circle of the assembly (khalwat dar anjuman). Rarely taking a breath without the companionship of awareness (hosh dar dam), And his gaze has not strayed beyond his feet (nazar bar qadam). So swiftly did he journey from himself, That his foot did not lag behind his sight. At the time of concentration, bent like a bow, Standing apart from the forty-day seclusion of others. See how he has hunted two hundred caravans With a bow, and a bow without a string! When he emerged from signs into direct vision, The erasure of his signs became his sign. He found, in traversing his spiritual stations, Attribute-lessness as the attribute of his own essence. The chain of lineage of his spiritual masters Is the firmest handhold for his captives. The fame of that chain Casts an earthquake into the ranks of the world's lions. The base person who speaks of his name with contempt, Erases his own name from the tablet of insight. The bat's eye is blind in the day, Otherwise, it would not shrink from the sun. May the bird of his soul, which from this ancient trap Nested in the Sidra and resided in Tuba, Be settled in a blessed abode, In the presence of an All-Powerful, Eternal King.
