English translation

The praiser of the Prophet's Family, in truth, Praises himself; that is to say: 'I am a believer, certain, and a knower of God, And from my God is my hope and my fear. My belief is pure of any crookedness, I have no fear of the taunts of the crooked-natured. I am a lover of the Prophet and his Family, An enemy of his ill-natured foe. My essence is from their mine, My garments are from their shop. Like Salman, I became of the Family of the House (Ahl al-Bayt), My lamp became bright from that oil. I am a devotee to them, and the devotee of a people Is one of them, and I do not fear blame.' Lovers are always drunk with love, 'They do not fear the blame of any blamer.' Since the love of the truthful is my lesson, How should I fear the plotting of the hypocrites? This is not heresy (rafd), it is pure faith, It is the well-known custom of the people of gnosis (mystics). If loving the family of the Prophet is heresy, Then heresy is obligatory upon both the intelligent and the ignorant. 'If loving the family of Muhammad is heresy, Then let the two heavy creations (humans and jinn) bear witness that I am a heretic (rafidi).' Al-Shafi'i, he whose robust jurisprudence (ijtihad) Strengthens the Prophetic Sunnah, With an eloquent tongue and solid words, Said in the course of his magic-like poetry: 'If heresy is loving the family of the Messenger, Or devotion to the family of Batul (Fatima), Then let humans and fairies (jinn) bear witness That I am free from everything other than heresy. My sect is heresy, and my religion is heresy, My elevation is heresy, and all else is degradation (deflation).'
