بخش ۳۹ - در بیان آنکه چون عاشق ظلمت وایه های نفس بداند روی از خود بگرداند و در معشوق آورد / Section 39 - On the Explanation That When the Lover Recognizes the Darkness of the Desires of the Self, He Turns His Face Away from Himself and Directs It to the Beloved

Original content

English translation

When the truth-seeking lover realizes His own darkness, he turns his reins away from himself. He directs the face of his soul toward the Qiblah of the Friend, And does not remain veiled from the kernel by the shell. Whatever he says, he says for Him; Whatever he seeks, he seeks for Him. Like the moth that in the gathering of the assembly Annihilates its own existence in the candle, For the sake of the Beloved, he annihilates himself, And sacrifices himself before His face.
