ای به سویت همه را روی نیاز
چشم لطف تو به روی همه باز
عاشقان کشته سودای تواند
داغ بر دل به تمنای تواند
درد دم بر دم تو همدمشان
داغ بی مرهم تو مرهمشان
رسته از خود ز پرستندگیت
خواجگی یافته از بندگیت
خرقه فقر و فنا پوشیده
در ره صدق و صفا کوشیده
گردن افراخته از طوق سگی
کرده در راه وفا تیز تگی
بنده جامی که سگ ایشان است
همچو ایشان ز وفاکیشان است
در کمند تو فتاده ست به بند
خالی از داغ سگانش مپسند
بست از خوان غنا دیده خویش
استخوانی نهش از فقر به پیش
صبر بر فقر و فناش آیین کن
تلخی صبر بر او شیرین کن
English translation
O You to Whom all turn their face of need, Your eye of grace is open to all. Lovers are slain by the yearning for You, Branded in their hearts in desire for You. Your pain is their companion breath by breath, Your brand without remedy is their salve. Delivered from selfhood through worship of You, They have found mastery in servitude to You. Clothed in the cloak of poverty and annihilation, Striving on the path of sincerity and purity. Holding their necks high from the collar of a dog, Running swiftly on the path of fidelity. The servant Jami, who is a dog among them, Is, like them, of those whose faith is fidelity. He has fallen bound into Your lasso, Do not approve of him being free of the brand of Your dogs. He closed his eyes to the table of wealth, Laying a bone of poverty before himself. Make patience in poverty and annihilation his creed, And make the bitterness of patience sweet to him.
