Original content

English translation

The Best of Mankind, the Messenger of God, who surpasses all in knowledge and wisdom, said that the believer of high station is in likeness exactly like the honeybee. When the honeybee enters the garden, it stays free from anything other than pure things. Likewise, the righteous believers are consumers of goodly sustenance from the world. They cover faults and look at virtues; they consume the pure flowers and sweet basil. They release various honeys of praise from the passage of their tongues. What serves as proof of this from the Prophet is: 'Vile things are for vile people.' Whomever you see, whether imperfect or perfect, is inclined toward nothing but their own kind. The saints are the friends of the saints; the wretched are the mates of the wretched. And if you find two opposites close to each other, sharing secrets and sitting as companions, know that there is a hidden affinity that you cannot grasp on the surface.
