Section 25 - The Sage's Condemnation of Lust, Without Which the Birth of Children is Unprecedented

Original content

English translation

When the sharp-witted sage heard the story of the child from the King of Greece, He said, 'O King, whoever does not practice lust remains in the grief of being deprived of a child. The eye of intellect and knowledge is blinded by lust; a demon appears as a houri in one's eyes because of lust. Wherever the clamor of lust exerts power, it deprives the heart of wisdom and the eyes of light. Wherever the flood of lust storms, it ruins the house of prosperity. The path of lust is full of the mud of calamity; whoever falls into this mud never rises again. Whoever tastes a single sip of the wine of lust never sees the face of deliverance. By that little wine, one is brought low in dignity, because its small amount demands a great deal. When you taste a single drop of that little wine, you find no sweetness like that pleasure on your palate. That pleasure becomes a halter in your nose, dragging you in a tug-of-war night and day. Until you forfeit your life in the path of non-existence, it is impossible for you to turn back from it.'
