Original content

English translation

O you whose face is kindled by the fire of anger, Your harvest is burned by the fire of anger! You have kindled a fire from the base ones, And you have burned both your wet and dry with it. A dry thorn, from which a hundred of your harvests Become set ablaze by a single spark of fire. Pour the water of forbearance on this fire; Drag this rebellious passion under your feet. Close your mouth from futile talk; Do not approve of your lips being stained with unpleasant words. Do not draw the sword of your tongue for the sake of causing pain; Do not pass by the weak while striking them with a sword. Do not, out of malice, constantly spread Your hand to slap a handful of poor, helpless people. Moment by moment, upon a body free of crime, Do not fill your fist with oppression. Close your lips with the tooth of oppression (restraint), Withdraw your step from kicking with injustice. How long, like stubborn beasts, beyond all limits, Will you inflict wounds with teeth and kicks? Lessen your anger, for on the Day of Judgment, Abandoning your anger will be a shield against God's anger. If your hand does not hold your shield, Hell will make you the target of the arrows of your own sparks. Face prosperity today; Sew a shield for your tomorrow. Forbearance, though heavy like a mountain, Brings pain and distress to the heart, Yet turn your face to that mountain from the waves of adversity, Before the waves rise above your lips. Forbearance is a ship and anger is a storm; The possessor of forbearance is like the captain. When the storm's power breaks his ship, The waves of the storm cast him to destruction. For years you traversed the path of sin, Wearing down your striving feet on the path. Whatever you did, God did not approve That even the prick of a thorn should pierce your foot. You too, learn this manner at last; Do not kindle the fire of wrath at last. Do not nitpick the foolish any longer; Do not occupy yourself with the troubles of the good and bad. Whomever makes you sad, make him happy; And whomever binds you, set him free. Be a well-wisher to those who wish you ill; Seek the welfare of the wrongdoers. Consider the harm of oppressors as a treasure; Regard the wounds from tormentors as a garden. Practice forgiveness beautifully and pleasantly; Pass over the unpleasantness of seeking revenge. Being aligned in the row of forgiveness and generosity Is better than the struggles of a vengeful person. Seeking revenge is not the path of beneficence; Anyone who does not do good is not human. Do not, by practicing lack of kindness, Depart from the circle of humanity. Why do you become distressed by the demon every moment? And why do you become the laughingstock of Satan through anger? You have become all feet, like a ball, Running and rushing in this battlefield. The demon is following close behind you, Spinning you from state to state.
