خردنامه اسکندری / Kheradnama-ye Eskandari (The Book of Alexandrian Wisdom)

Kheradnama-ye Eskandari

The Kheradnama-ye Eskandari (The Book of Alexandrian Wisdom) is the seventh and final masnavi of Jami's collection Haft Awrang (Seven Thrones). It is a didactic-philosophical poem that recounts the life, education, conquests, and death of Alexander (Sikandar), his tutelage under Aristotle, and his encounters with sages, framed as a mirror-for-princes on wisdom and mortality.

The work is organized into many numbered narrative and discursive sections (بخش), including embedded kheradnama (books of wisdom) attributed to Alexander and to Aristotle. This node is the intermediate literary container between the whole Haft Awrang collection and its individual Sikandar sections, so that each بخش is grouped under the specific masnavi it belongs to rather than attached directly to the collection.
