Book Six - Section 52 - The Sufi Questioning the Qadi Again

Original content

English translation

The Sufi said, 'What would it be if this world had opened the eyebrow of mercy eternally? If it did not bring forward a turmoil every moment, and did not bring out a sting from its variations? If the night did not steal the lamp of the day, if winter did not take away the joy-teaching garden? If the cup of health did not have the stone of fever, if security did not bring distress along with fear? What would have decreased from His bounty and mercy, if there had been no disturbance in His blessing?'
