Section 93 - Supplication on Transitioning from Generosity to Contentment

Original content

English translation

O You whose ocean of generosity has the Divine Throne as its oyster shell, The dwellers of the Throne, with cups in hand, are in search of You. We, who are parched with thirst for Your bounty, Are a ship cast into Your storm. Cast a look of grace upon this ship, Bring it safely to the shore. Pitch our tent upon the shore, Break the oyster shell of our existence. Open the veil of our darkness, Show the purity of our inner pearl. Jami has grown weary of his own existence, He holds hope of acceptance through Your grace. Seat him at the table of Your bounty, Brush away the dust of error from his skirt. Behold his grief and make him glad, The servant has grown old, set him free. Grant him the vision to recognize You, To distinguish Your blessings from trials. Gird his loins for the service of obedience, Bestow upon him the crown of the glory of contentment.
