به نزد آنکه جانش در تجلی است
همه عالم کتاب حق تعالی است

عرض اعراب و جوهر چون حروف است
مراتب همچو آیات وقوف است

از او هر عالمی چون سوره ای خاص
یکی زان فاتحه و آن دیگر اخلاص

نخستین آیتش عقل کل آمد
که در وی همچو باء بسمل آمد

دوم نفس کل آمد آیت نور
که چون مصباح شد از غایت نور

سیم آیت در او شد عرش رحمان
چهارم «آیت الکرسی» همی دان

پس از وی جرمهای آسمانی است
که در وی سورهٔ سبع المثانی است

نظر کن باز در جرم عناصر
که هر یک آیتی هستند باهر

پس از عنصر بود جرم سه مولود
که نتوان کرد این آیات محدود

به آخر گشت نازل نفس انسان
که بر ناس آمد آخر ختم قرآن

English translation

To him whose soul is in the state of divine illumination, The entire world is the book of God Almighty. Accidents are its vowels and substance like its letters; The stages of being are like its verses and pauses. From Him, every world is like a specific chapter; One of them is Al-Fatiha, and another Al-Ikhlas. Its first verse was the Universal Intellect, Which came into it like the letter 'B' of 'Bismillah'. The second was the Universal Soul, the Verse of Light, Which became like a lamp from the extreme light. The third verse in it became the Throne of the Merciful; Know the fourth to be the 'Throne Verse' (Ayat al-Kursi). After that are the heavenly bodies, In which is the chapter of the Seven Oft-Repeated. Look again into the bodies of the elements, For each of them is a dazzling verse. After the elements are the bodies of the three kingdoms, For one cannot limit these verses. At last, the human soul descended, For upon mankind the Quran was finally sealed.
