بخش ۱۹ - تمثیل در بیان مقام نبوت و ولایت / Section 19 - An Allegory Explaining the Station of Prophethood and Saintship

متن و ترجمه / Text and Translation

نبی چون آفتاب آمد، ولی ماهمقابل گردد اندر «لی مع الله»
The Prophet is like the sun, the Saint is the moon,
They face each other in 'I have a time with God.'
نبوت در کمال خویش صافی استولایت اندر او پیدا، نه مخفی است
Prophethood is pure in its own perfection,
Saintship is manifest in it, not hidden.
ولایت در ولی پوشیده بایدولی اندر نبی پیدا نماید
Saintship must be concealed within the Saint,
But it shows itself manifest in the Prophet.
ولی از پیروی چون همدم آمدنبی را در ولایت محرم آمد
Since the Saint becomes a companion by following,
He becomes a confidant of the Prophet in Saintship.
ز «إن کنتم تحبون» یابد او راهبه خلوتخانهٔ «يحببکم الله»
From 'If you love [God]' he finds the way
To the private chamber of 'God will love you.'
در آن خلوت سرا محبوب گرددبه حق یکبارگی مجذوب گردد
In that private chamber, he becomes the beloved,
And is entirely drawn and absorbed in the Truth.
بود تابع ولی از روی معنیبود عابد ولی در کوی معنی
The Saint is a follower in spiritual meaning,
He is a worshipper in the alley of meaning.
ولی آنگه رسد کارش به اتمامکه با آغاز گردد باز از انجام
The Saint only reaches the completion of his work,
When he returns from the end back to the beginning.
