بخش ۲۰ - جواب به سوال دوم / Section 20 - Answer to the Second Question

کسی مرد تمام است کز تمامی
کند با خواجگی کار غلامی

پس آنگاهی که ببرید او مسافت
نهد حق بر سرش تاج خلافت

بقایی یابد او بعد از فنا باز
رود ز انجام ره دیگر به آغاز

شریعت را شعار خویش سازد
طریقت را دثار خویش سازد

حقیقت خود مقام ذات او دان
شده جامع میان کفر و ایمان

به اخلاق حمیده گشته موصوف
به علم و زهد و تقویٰ بوده معروف

همه با او ولی او از همه دور
به زیر قبه های ستر مستور

English translation

He is a perfect man who, through his perfection, performs the work of a servant despite his mastery. Then, when he has traversed the distance, Truth (Haq) places the crown of vicegerency on his head. He attains subsistence (baqa) after annihilation (fana) once more, and returns from the end of the path back to the beginning. He makes the Sharia (Divine Law) his outer garment, and makes the Tariqa (the Path) his inner garment. Know Truth (Haqiqat) to be the station of his very essence, having become the collector of both infidelity and faith. He is described by praiseworthy character, and is known for knowledge, asceticism, and piety. All are with him, yet he is far from all, hidden beneath the domes of concealment.
