Section 31 - Rule on the Refutation of Incarnation and Identification

Original content

English translation

I, we, you, and he are all one thing, For in Unity there is no distinction at all. Whoever becomes empty of self like a void, 'I am the Truth' becomes a voice and sound within him. He becomes non-perishing with the Everlasting Face; The path, the journeying, and the wayfarer become one. Incarnation and union arise from 'otherness,' But Unity arises entirely from the spiritual journey. It was individuation that was separated from Existence; Neither did the Truth become the servant, nor the servant become God. Incarnation and union are impossible here, For in Unity, duality is the very essence of error. The existence of creatures and plurality is in appearance; Not everything that appears is the essence of being.
