Section 13 - The Rule of Contemplation in the Souls

Original content

English translation

Look well once at your own origin, For the mother became both father and mother again. See the entire world within yourself, See whatever comes at the end as first. In the end, the soul of Adam appeared, Both worlds became dependent on his essence. Is it not that the final cause at the end Becomes manifest through its own essence? Injustice and ignorance are the opposite of light, Yet they are the manifestors of the essence of manifestation. When the back of the mirror is darkened, It shows the face of the person from the other side. The sun's ray from the fourth heaven Is not reflected except upon the dust. You were the reflection of the angels' worshipped One, For that reason, you became the object of prostration for the angels. There is a soul from every body before you, And from it a rope is tied to you. They became subject to your command because The soul of each one is hidden within you. You are the marrow of the world, therefore you are in the middle, Know yourself, for you are the soul of the world. The northern quarter became your dwelling, For the heart is on the left side of the body. The world of intellect and soul is your capital, Earth and heaven are your adornment. See that non-existence which is the very essence of existence, Look at the height which is the essence of lowliness. Your natural powers are ten thousand, The voluntary ones are beyond limit and number. And each of these has been dependent on instruments, On limbs, organs, and ligaments. Physicians became bewildered in this, They were helpless in the anatomy of man. No one found the way to this work, Each one acknowledged their own weakness. From the Truth, each has a share and portion, The return and origin of each is by a Name. By that Name, existing things are established, By that Name, they are in constant glorification. At the origin, each became a source from it, At the time of return, it became like a door. From that door through which it first came, it also went out, Even though in livelihood, it wandered from door to door. For this reason you have known all the Names, Because you are the reflection of the Named. The manifestation of power, knowledge, and will Is through you, O fortunate servant. You are hearing, seeing, living, and speaking, You have survival, not of yourself, but from there. How wonderful is the First that became the very Last! How wonderful is the Hidden that became the very Manifest! You are in doubt of yourself day and night, It is better that you do not know yourself. Since the end of contemplation became bewilderment, Here the discussion of contemplation is concluded.
