چونکه بهرامشاه شه باشد
مر ورا زین صفت سپه باشد

ملکش از ملک جم نیاید کم
تر و تازه چو بوستان ارم

مملکت آسمان ملک خورشید
خواجه چون ماه و قاضیان ناهید

عالم آراسته به دولت و داد
گشته معدوم در عدم بیداد

عرصهٔ مملکت چو باغ بهشت
مشک اذفر سرشته با گل و خشت

خاک این مملکت شده کافور
چشم بد باد از این حوالی دور

اهل غزنین چه کرده بود از داد
که چنین شان کریم شاهی داد

هرچه ز ایزد بخواستید عطا
دادتان بخ بخ این گزیده دعا

به اجابت دعا چو مقرون گشت
هرچه زو خواستند افزون گشت

شاه عادل نکو نیت دستور
ملک آباد و دست ظالم دور

لشکری بر مثال مور و ملخ
بحر و بر زان ملا و وادی و شخ

صدهزاران سوار جوشن دار
که نماند ز دشمنان دیار

عدد لشکرش هر آنکه شمرد
نشمرد او و عمر پایان برد

روز بارش چو برنشست به تخت
کار بر دشمنان بگیرد سخت

جوش دیوان گذشته از پروین
رونق خواجه تا به علیین

خواجگان دگر چو مهر و چو ماه
رونق گاه و زینت درگاه

اهل دیوان همه عدول و قضاة
گاه توقیع و عرض و خط و برات

به مظالم نشسته اهل قبول
قاضیان وجیه و جمع عدول

تا ملک بر فلک مکان دارد
تا سماک از سمک نشان دارد

پادشاه و وزیر و میر و حشم
عادل و ناصح و امین حرم

English translation

Since Bahramshah is the king, He possesses an army of this quality. His kingdom is no less than the kingdom of Jam, Fresh and blooming like the Garden of Iram. The kingdom is the sky, the king is the sun, The minister is like the moon, and the judges are Venus. The world is adorned with fortune and justice, Injustice has become nonexistent in nothingness. The arena of the kingdom is like the garden of paradise, Sweet musk is mixed with its mud and bricks. The soil of this kingdom has become camphor, May the evil eye be far from this vicinity. What justice had the people of Ghazna done, That He gave them such a generous king? Whatever bounty you asked of God, He gave you, bravo for this chosen prayer! When the prayer was coupled with acceptance, Whatever they asked of Him was increased. The just king, the well-intentioned minister, The kingdom prosperous and the hand of the oppressor far away. An army like ants and locusts, Sea and land, hills, valleys, and hard grounds are full of them. A hundred thousand armored riders, So that not a single enemy remains in the land. Whoever counted the number of his army, He could not count it and brought his life to an end. On the day of his audience, when he sits on the throne, He makes matters difficult for the enemies. The clamor of the court surpasses the Pleiades, The glory of the minister reaches to the highest heaven. The other ministers are like the sun and the moon, The splendor of the throne and the ornament of the court. The people of the court are all just and are judges, At the time of signing, presenting, writing, and assigning. The people of acceptance sit to hear grievances, Respected judges and a gathering of the just. As long as the angel has a place in heaven, As long as Arcturus has a trace from the Fish, May the king, the minister, the emir, and the retinue, Be just, advising, and trustees of the sanctuary.
