بخش ۶۹ - فی کرمه و فضله / Section 69 - On His Generosity and Grace

ای خداوند قایم و قدوسملک تو نامماس و نامحسوس
O Eternal and Holy Lord,
Your kingdom is intangible and imperceptible.
از تو چیریم و بر تو چیر نه ایمبه تو سیریم و از تو سیر نه ایم
Through You we are victorious, yet we hold no sway over You;
By You we are fulfilled, yet of You we are never sated.
سوی ما گرچه هیچکس کس نیستکرم تو نویدگر بس نیست
Though to us no one is a true helper,
Is Your generosity not a sufficient harbinger of hope?
دین مان داده ای یقین مان دهگرچه این هست بیش از این مان ده
You have given us religion, now grant us certainty;
Even though we have this, give us more than this.
گرچه بر نطع نفس شهماتیمتشنهٔ وادی سماواتیم
Though we are checkmated on the chessboard of the self,
We are thirsty for the valley of the heavens.
کسی از بد همی نداند بهآنچه دانی که آن بهست آن ده
No one knows good from evil;
Grant us that which You know is best.
ای مراد امل نگاران تووی امید امیدواران تو
O Goal of those who paint their hopes,
And O Hope of those who hope in You.
ای نهان دان آشکارا بینتو رسانی امید ما به یقین
O Knower of the hidden, Beholder of the manifest,
You will surely bring our hope to realization.
همه امید من به رحمت تستجان و روزی همه ز نعمت تست
All my hope lies in Your mercy;
Life and sustenance are entirely from Your bounty.
جگر تشنه مان ز کوثر دینشربتی بخش پر ز نور یقین
To our thirsty hearts, from the Kauthar of religion,
Grant a draught filled with the light of certainty.
نیست نز دانشی و نز هنریجز تو سوی توام وکیل دری
It is not from my knowledge or my skill;
I have no advocate at the door toward You except You.
هرچه بر من قضای تو بنوشتهمه نیکو بود نباشد زشت
Whatever Your decree has written for me,
It is all good and cannot be evil.
هستم از هرکه هست جمله گریزناگزیرم تویی مرا بپذیر
I am in flight from all who exist;
You are my only recourse, so accept me.
بلبل عشق را ز گلبن جستدر ترنم نوای این همه تست
The nightingale of love sought the rosebush;
In its singing, all these melodies are Yours.
باز ناز من از طریق نیازبر سر سدره می کند پرواز
My falcon of pride, through the path of need,
Flies to the top of the Lote-tree of the boundary.
ملکها راند هرکه سوی تو راندباز درماند هرکه زین درماند
Whoever journeyed toward You ruled over kingdoms,
While whoever remained behind from this was left helpless.
که رساند به من سخن جز توکه رهاند مرا ز من جز تو
Who but You can convey words to me?
Who but You can deliver me from myself?
نخری بوی رنگ و دمدمه توزین همه وارهانم ای همه تو
You do not purchase pretense, color, or empty words;
Deliver me from all of this, O You who are everything.
عجز و بیچارگی و ضعف خرینخری سستی و خری و تری
You buy helplessness, destitution, and weakness;
You do not buy slackness, folly, or self-indulgence.
رنج بر درگه تو آسانیستبی زبانی همه زبان دانی است
Hardship at Your threshold is ease;
Wordlessness is the highest eloquence.
همه را کش تو از برای همهپس قبول تو خونبهای همه
Draw everyone near for the sake of all,
For Your acceptance is the blood-money of everyone.
از تو برتافتن عنان املچیست جز آیت و نشان زلل
Turning the reins of hope away from You,
What is it but a sign and token of error?
صورت قهر در دلش رویدهر که جز مهر حضرتت جوید
The form of wrath will grow in the heart of
Whoever seeks anything other than the love of Your Presence.
سیرت ما ز صورت اشراروا رهان ای مهیمن اسرار
Deliver our character from the form of the wicked,
O Guardian of secrets.
