Section 39 - On That Man Appeared After All Things and Directions

Original content

English translation

In human beings, from passion and natural disposition, Know that the invitation of intellect comes last of all. If religion enters after the body and the soul, Why do you find this order of degrees so strange? For a young girl, to prepare her for bonding, First there is a toy, and only then a child. At the season of the rose's awakening, Does not the cat first wail, and then the nightingale sing? He who possesses a wise heart knows How vast a distance lies between this cry and that song. Discerning minds know well the difference Between the braying of an ass and the melody of the organ and panpipes.
