بخش ۲۱ - در صفت ارکانی و گردونی با آن جهان الدنیا قنطرةٌ فاعبروها ولا تعمروها / Section 21 - On the Description of the Elemental and the Celestial, with the Other World: The World is a Bridge, so Cross It and Do Not Build Upon It

Original content

English translation

Whatever is elemental and whatever is celestial Are but the outer skins of that world. Whoever dwells within the realm of faith, For him, at every breath, heaven is earth. Until a man reaches the realm of faith, He cannot arrive from doubt to the path of certainty. The ladder toward clay is for the heavy-bodied; The ladder toward the heart is for the fluid souls. Deem him with whom fortune is in league to be full of ego; Call him who is favored by the cosmos destitute. The most abased of persons is the one favored by fortune, For the world has accommodated him. Whoever compromises with the world, The hereafter will cast him aside. O you who have remained in this low place like a drunkard, Send sweet thanks toward the soul and the heart. You who have fallen into the bondage of greed and avarice, Have become like gold in the jaws of the shears.
