نیک مردی بود از زن پای بست
پیش رکن الدین اکافی نشست

پس ز دست زن بسی بگریست زار
گفت بی او یکدمم نبود قرار

نه طلاقش میتوانم داد من
نه توانم گشت از او آزاد من

زانکه جانم زنده از دیدار اوست
رونقم از نازش بسیار اوست

لیک ترک دین و سنت میکند
زانکه بر بوبکر لعنت میکند

گرچه میرنجانمش هر وقت سخت
مینگوید ترک این آن شور بخت

نه ازو یک روز بتوانم برید
نه ازو این قول بتوانم شنید

میسزد گردل ازین پر خون کنم
در میان این دو مشکل چون کنم

خواجه گفت ای مرد اگر رنجانیش
هر زمان سرگشته تر گردانیش

گر بگوئی از سر لطفیش راز
او دگر نکند زفان هرگز دراز

اعتقادی کژ درو بنشانده اند
نقلهای کژ برو برخوانده اند

گفته اند او را که بوبکر از مجاز
کرد ظلم و حق ز حق میداشت باز

باز کرد آل پیمبر را ز کار
کرد بر باطل خلافت اختیار

ملک بودش آرزو بگشاد دست
نی بحق بر جای پیغمبر نشست

او چنین بوبکر دانستست راست
بر چنین بوبکر بس لعنت رواست

لعنتی کو کرد ما هم میکنیم
ما هم این لعنت دمادم میکنیم

گر چنین جائی ابوبکری بود
آن نه بوبکری که بومکری بود

گر چنین بوبکر را دشمن شوی
گر بدیده تیرهٔ روشن شوی

لیک چون بوبکر صدیق آمدست
جان او دریای تحقیق آمدست

صبح صادق از دم جان سوز اوست
آفتاب از سایه هر روز اوست

صدق او سر دفتر هفت آسمانست
قدس او سر جمله هر دو جهانست

جان پاکش را دو عالم هیچ نیست
ذرهٔ در جانش میل و پیچ نیست

هست بوبکر این چنین نه آن چنان
دوستان را می مپرس از دشمنان

گر بدی گفتند مشتی بی فروغ
در حق اوآن دروغست آن دروغ

هست بوبکر آنکه بر سنت رود
گر چنین نبود بر او لعنت رود

گر چنین گوئی زنت آید براه
پس زفان در بند آید از گناه

مرد شد شادان وبا زن گفت راز
توبه کرد آن زن وزان ره گشت باز

از صحابه سی هزار و سه هزار
از میان جانش کردند اختیار

او کجا در بندآب و جاه بود
کاب و جاه او همه الله بود

آنکه از عرش و فلک فارغ بود
شک نباشد کز فدک فارغ بود

English translation

A good man was helplessly devoted to his wife, He sat before Rukn al-Din Akafi. Then he wept bitterly because of his wife, He said, 'Without her, I have no peace for a moment. I can neither divorce her, Nor can I become free from her, Because my soul is alive by seeing her, My flourishing is from her abundant coquetry. But she abandons religion and tradition, Because she curses Abu Bakr. Even though I torment her severely all the time, That wretched one does not abandon this. I can neither cut ties with her for a day, Nor can I bear to hear these words from her. It is fitting if I make my heart full of blood from this, What should I do between these two difficulties?' The Master said, 'O man, if you torment her, You will make her more bewildered every moment. If you kindly tell her the secret, She will never again lengthen her tongue. A crooked belief has been planted in her, Crooked tales have been read to her. They have told her that Abu Bakr through pretense, Committed oppression and withheld the right from the rightful. He dismissed the family of the Prophet from affairs, He chose the caliphate based on falsehood. He desired the kingdom and reached out his hand, He did not sit in the Prophet's place rightfully. She has known Abu Bakr to be exactly like this, Upon such an Abu Bakr, a curse is quite permissible! The curse she made, we also make, We also make this curse continually. If there were an Abu Bakr in such a position, He would not be Abu Bakr, but Abu Makr (father of deceit). If you become an enemy to such an Abu Bakr, You would become clear-sighted instead of dark-eyed. But since Abu Bakr is Siddiq (the Truthful), His soul is an ocean of realization. The true dawn is from his soul-burning breath, The sun is from his shadow every day. His truthfulness is the preamble of the seven heavens, His holiness is the secret of both worlds. Both worlds are nothing to his pure soul, There is not an atom of inclination or crookedness in his soul. Abu Bakr is like this, not like that, Do not ask about friends from enemies! If a handful of unenlightened people spoke ill, Regarding him, that is a lie, that is a lie! Abu Bakr is one who walks upon the Sunnah, If it were not so, a curse would be upon him. If you speak like this, your wife will come to the right path, Then her tongue will be restrained from sin.' The man became joyous and told his wife the secret, That woman repented and turned back from that path. Thirty-three thousand of the companions, From the core of their souls, chose him. How could he be bound to wealth and position? For all his wealth and position was Allah. He who was free from the throne and the heavens, There is no doubt that he was free from Fadak.
