Section 4 - In Praise of the Messenger, Peace and Blessings of Allah Be Upon Him

Original content

English translation

What is the religious duty of Adam's race Is the praise of the foremost and the full moon of both worlds The sun of the world of those who foster religion The master who commands the prophets The leader of prophets and messengers The guide of the first and the last Truthful in word on earth and in heaven A hundred worlds in one world, transcendent of the world The refuge of creation and the Imam of the cosmos His action is both a proof and a miracle The pearl of the sea of piety is his essence Until eternity, his call is the summoner to Truth He has come as the intercessor of both worlds He has come as the helper of Adam's progeny Universal Intellect is but a part of the reflection of his soul Every part has become a whole through his faith The turn of his mandate strikes "closer" (adna) "There is no prophet after me" has struck this royal seal Old Adam has come as a child on his path Seeking his law, coming for milk The sun of his face has manifested The sky has bowed down a hundred times toward him He is the focal point and the first fruit of the two worlds He is the model and the marvel of humans and jinn He who in form is, in meaning, a world From his creation, there is a creation at every moment The eight paradises are a sip from his cup Both worlds (alam) are from the two 'm's of his name (Mohammad) The world (alam) has only a share of one 'm' Thus, Mohammad has two 'm's in his name Inevitably, one world is from one of his 'm's And the second world is from his other half He is truly the master of the children of the world He is truly the candle of the gathering of both worlds The pole of his origin was visible and hidden For that reason, he emerged from the navel of the world (Mecca) He was the Prophet of the Sword, hence without injustice For he was upon a religion like the edge of the sword He was a prophet from within and from without He said, "We are the last (in time) and the first (in rank)" His proof is "I was a prophet" from within His call is the seal of prophethood from without His light is the source of bestowal for both worlds His light precedes the world and the soul The radiance of both worlds is the reflection of his heart The six directions in the seven heavens are his one stage He from whom two-thirds of religion found honor (Aisha) Found the needle at night by his light What is "By the Sun"? The sun of his face What is "By the Night"? The sign of his locks The healing remedy for all hearts is from him The unravelling and binding of all difficulties is from him Wherever the ground of difficulties was cleft The sun of the cosmos rose Since the splitting of the earth is first for him The hidden difficulty is solved by him He is truly the pole of the Throne, the Earth, and the Pedestal Since he passed from truth, what do you ask? It is only him Without the breeze (Saba), when does the rose emerge from its robe? He is the rose of the unseen, aided by the Saba wind From the beginning to the end, he was at work From foot to crown, he was immersed in mysteries From "cover me" (zammiluni) with Khadija at his beginning To "speak to me, O Humayra" at his end When he added beauty to prophethood The soul made the past from the welcoming of the present The work of his body was just extreme thinness His soul breathed from "my longing grew intense" To open the door of his chest The sun brought a basin and Kawthar brought water His pure soul, for eternity, from the water of life Washed its hands of all existence and beings As soon as the basin was removed from his chest The basin of the celestial sphere became full of light from his reflection Since the horseshoe of his Buraq became the crescent moon At the start of every month, it becomes new out of perfection The sun was a single flatbread from his table Even though it had radiated excessive heat Saturn was the Hindu night-watchman striking the wood for him The blackness of the night from the moon was his drummer Venus is constantly sweeping the dust at his door Jupiter is the supreme judge of his army Mars burns his enemies out of vengeance And Mercury is a novice child learning from him Beside his grace, which is the soul of a world The water of life is but a drop and Kawthar is nothing Beside his character, which is true character and that is all The garment of Paradise is merely worn-out rags Beside his generosity, the goods of wet and dry Weigh one barleycorn, but even drier Beside his knowledge, at the hand of the Divine Grandeur Both angels and prophets are gleaners Beside his forbearance, which is a still mountain The earth has a hundred unsafe tremors When from the unseen of the unseen he turned his head from the mystery He made whatever light he found the same color as himself He struck the face of Joseph the Truthful The tent of his goodness spread from side to side He made the throat of David bubble with joy He bewildered the people through his throat He struck the hand of Moses and manifested Until the whole world displayed the White Hand Then he cast a shadow on the breath of Jesus And cast a tumult from him into the entire world Since Muhammad fell as the origin of those before him What fell from him, fell upon the soul He was inevitably ahead of both worlds And more wondrously, his soul was a dervish Since his soul belonged to God, it did not belong to him His mark was nothing but being a dervish Ahmad was a king from the One His kingdom was "Poverty is my pride" until eternity Since he is truly the purpose of creation He will eternally be the true friend of God There was no prophet in all the horizons Until one prophet became his equal But the seal of all prophets Was self-sufficient, not like the others As long as there is a prophet like Mustafa How can another be in his shadow? In the rays of the Eastern Sun How can a lamp provide guidance, after all? Did the Prophet not say: "If Moses the Interlocutor were alive now, He would permanently be my follower"? Jesus, son of Mary, who ascended to heaven Will follow him in the end times The renowned Messiah became his servant For that reason, the Creator named him the bringer of glad tidings After him, prophethood was not possible Before him, no one had more faith than him Faith found perfection in his era There is nothing beyond perfection except decline When he reached the limit of his potential Inevitably he preceded the prophets Hear from the Quran, do not get lost in vain: The proof of "Today I have perfected for you [your religion]" No community ever obtained this honor No other prophet found this glory The difference of opinion in his community came as a mercy What can I say about the consensus of his community?
