در نعت سید المرسلین صلی اللّه علیه و سلم / In Praise of the Master of the Messengers, Peace and Blessings of Allah Be Upon Him

متن و ترجمه / Text and Translation

ثنائی گو بر ارباب بینشسزای صدر وبدر آفرینش
Offer praise to the masters of insight
worthy of the chief and full moon of creation.
محمد آنکه نور جسم و جانستگزین و مهتر پیغامبرانست
Muhammad, who is the light of body and soul
the chosen and the greatest of the prophets.
حبیب خالق بیچون اکبردرون جزو و کل او شاه و سرور
The beloved of the incomparable, greatest Creator
within the part and the whole, he is the king and master.
ز نورش ذرهٔ خورشید و ماهستهمه ذرات را پشت و پناهست
From his light, the sun and moon are but a speck
he is the support and refuge for all atoms.
فلک یک خرقه پوش خانقاهشبسر گردان شده در خاک راهش
The sky is a single dervish wearing a cloak in his convent
wandering on its head in the dust of his path.
تمامت انبیا را پیشوا اوستحقیقت عاشقان را رهنما اوست
He is the leader of all the prophets
in truth, he is the guide for the lovers.
ز نور اوست اصل عرش و کرسیچه کروبی چه روحانی چه قدسی
From his light comes the essence of the Throne and the Footstool
whether cherub, spiritual, or holy.
طفیل اوست دنیا و آخرت همجهان از نور ذات اوست خرم
Both this world and the hereafter are his dependents
the world is joyful from the light of his essence.
شده در نور پاکش عقل و جان گمز عکس ذات او هر دو جهان گم
In his pure light, intellect and soul are lost
from the reflection of his essence, both worlds are lost.
حقیقت خاتم پیغمبرانستز نورش ذرهٔ کون و مکانست
In truth, he is the seal of the prophets
the entirety of space and existence is a speck of his light.
ز بود آفرینش اوست مقصودز لا در عین الا اوست موجود
He is the purpose behind the existence of creation
from 'no' into the essence of 'except' (God), he is present.
ز عکس ذات او دان آفرینشحقیقت اوست نور عین بینش
Know creation as a reflection of his essence
in truth, he is the light of the eye of insight.
هزار آدم طفیل اوست آنجابمانده سوی خیل اوست آنجا
A thousand Adams are his dependents there
remaining toward his cavalry there.
طفیل خندهٔ او آفتابستحقیقت ذرهٔ او ماهتابست
The sun is a dependent of his smile
in truth, moonlight is but his speck.
مه از شرم رخش هر مه گذاردچو در راهش گذارد سر فرازد
The moon passes each month in shame of his face
when it walks in his path, it raises its head.
ندیده چشم عالم همچو او بازازان آمد یقین شاه سرافراز
The eye of the world has not seen another like him
therefore, he surely came as the proud king.
زهی مثل ترا نادیده عالمنداده کس نشان از عهد آدم
Excellent! The world has not seen your likeness
no one has given a sign (like you) since the time of Adam.
چو تو شاهی بگرد کرهٔ خاککه آمد سایه بانت هفت افلاک
As you are a king around the sphere of earth
for whom the seven heavens became a canopy.
طفیل خاک پای تست دنیاحقیقت را نه جای تست دنیا
The world is a dependent on the dust of your feet
in truth, the world is not your place.
توئی صاحب قران عین هستیکه بت با بتکده در هم شکستی
You are the lord of the conjunction of the essence of existence
who broke the idol along with the idol-temple.
ازین سان دعوت کل کردهٔ توغم امت دمادم خوردهٔ تو
Thus you made the universal invitation
constantly bearing the sorrow of the Ummah.
تمام انبیا این عز ندیدندز تو گفتند کل وز تو شنیدند
All the prophets did not see this glory
they all spoke of you and heard of you.
تو اصل جوهری در اصل فطرتترا دادست ایزد جاه و حرمت
You are the original jewel in the essence of creation
God has given you rank and honor.
ز ذات خویش دیده لامکانتدر آنجا بود کل عین العیانت
He has seen you without place from His own essence
there the whole was the very essence of manifestation for you.
زدی دم از عیان لامکانییکی دیدی که گفتی من رآنی
You breathed of the placeless manifestation
you saw the One when you said 'He who has seen me'.
حقیقت واصل دو جهان تو باشیهمه جانند و جان جان تو باشی
In truth, you are the joiner of the two worlds
all are souls, and you are the soul of souls.
خرد در راه تو طفلی بشیرستز حکم شرع تو زار و اسیرست
Intellect in your path is a child bearing good news
by the decree of your law, it is helpless and captive.
که دارد زهره تا گوید سخن بازز سر شرعت ای شاه سرافراز
Who has the courage to speak again
of the secret of your law, O proud king!
در کلی گشادستی به تحقیقدرین ره داد دادستی بتحقیق
You have truly opened the universal door
on this path, you have truly rendered justice.
زهی مهتر که شاه انبیائیپناه اولیا و اصفیائی
Excellent master, for you are the king of prophets
the refuge of saints and the chosen ones.
چو جبریل آمد ای جان چاکر توشرف دارد ز نور گوهر تو
Since Gabriel came as your servant, O soul
he has honor from the light of your jewel.
طریق مصطفی گیر و دگر نهحقیقت را به جز او راهبر نه
Take the path of Mustafa and no other
for truth, there is no guide but him.
حقیقت جان پاکش راه بین داندل پر نور او بحر یقین دان
In truth, know his pure soul as the seer of the way
know his luminous heart as the sea of certainty.
نباشد سایه را خورشید هرگزولی خورشید او دارد چنین عز
A shadow never has a sun
but his sun possesses such glory.
چو یک بین شد شب معراج در ذاتازان بر سر نهادش تاج از ذات
When he became singular in seeing the Essence on the night of Ascension
He therefore placed a crown upon his head from the Essence.
دمادم کشف اسرارش عیان بودبرون از کون جایش لامکان بود
Constantly the revelation of his secrets was manifest
beyond existence, his place was the placeless.
بمعجز کرد ماه آسمان شقنمود از ذات بیچون سر مطلق
By a miracle he split the moon of the sky
he showed the absolute secret from the incomparable Essence.
گهی در دست بد سنگش سخن گوگهی زنهار از وی خواست آهو
Sometimes the stone in his hand spoke
sometimes the deer sought quarter from him.
گهی از سنگ نخلی کرد پیداکه آن در حال بار آورد خرما
Sometimes he produced a palm tree from a stone
which instantly bore dates.
بوصف اندر نیاید معجزاتشبه شرح اندر نیاید وصف ذاتش
His miracles cannot be contained in description
the description of his essence cannot be contained in explanation.
حقیقت گشت موسی امت اوچو در توریت دیدش قربت او
In truth, Moses became of his Ummah
when he saw his proximity (to God) in the Torah.
اگر نه او بدی عالم نبودیملایک نامدی آدم نبودی
If not for him, the world would not be
angels would not have come, Adam would not be.
زمین و آسمان معدوم بودیز رحمت دوجهان محروم بودی
Earth and sky would be non-existent
the two worlds would be deprived of mercy.
چو نور پاک اوست از پرتو ذاتنظر افکند سوی جمله ذرات
Since his pure light is from the ray of the Essence
he cast a glance toward all atoms.
ز نورش گشت پیدا کرسی و عرشیقین هم لوح و جنت نیز وهم فرش
From his light emerged the Footstool and the Throne
surely the Tablet, Paradise, and also the earth's floor.
طلب می کرد ذات خویش آن نورچو شد مطلوب شد درجمله مشهور
That light was seeking its own essence
when it became the sought, it became famous among all.
زهی صاحب قران دور گردونتوئی نور دو عالم بی چه و چون
Excellent, O lord of the conjunction of the turning sphere
you are the light of the two worlds, without 'how' and 'why'.
یقین دانم که مغز کایناتیعیان اندر صفات نور ذاتی
I know for certain you are the marrow of the universe
manifest in the attributes of the light of the Essence.
جمالت پرتوی در عالم انداختخروشی در نهاد آدم انداخت
Your beauty cast a ray into the world
it threw a clamor into the nature of Adam.
کسی کو با تو اینجا آشنا شددر آخر بی شکی مرد خدا شد
Whoever became acquainted with you here
in the end, undoubtedly, became a man of God.
توئی واصل زوصل جاودانیترا زیبد یقین صاحب قرانی
You are the joiner from the eternal union
to you, certainly, befits the lordship of conjunction.
شب معراج دیدی حق عیان تورسیدی در خداوند جهان تو
On the night of Ascension, you saw the Truth manifest
you reached the Lord of the world.
