پسر گفتش دلم حیران بماندست
که بی شه زادهٔ پریان بماندست
چو آن دختر محیا و عزیزست
بگو باری بمن تا آن چه چیزست
که من نادیده او را در فراقش
چو شمعم جان بلب پر اشتیاقش
پدر گفت این حکایة پیش او باز
عروسی جلوه داد از پردهٔ راز
English translation
The son said to him, 'My heart remains bewildered, For it remains without the princess of the fairies. Since that girl is prepared and dear, Tell me at least what that thing is, So that I, without having seen her, in separation from her, Am like a candle, my soul at my lips, full of longing for her.' The father recounted this tale back to him, Revealing a bride from the curtain of mystery.
