(5) The Tale of the Christian Man Who Became a Muslim

Original content

English translation

A Christian became a Muslim and triumphant, The next day, that ignorant one went to drink wine. When his mother saw him drunk, out of sorrow, She said to him, 'O son, what have you done after all? For Jesus has quickly become aggrieved with you, While Muhammad has not yet become pleased with you. To walk the path like a weakling is not good, For not every vain-tempered person is a true man. Walk with manliness in whichever religion you are, For unmanliness in religion is idol-worship.'
