Section 5 - He Speaks on Awakening from the Sleep of Heedlessness

Original content

English translation

Lay down, O your justice, the permanence of the world, In the lap of the world, the merit of the world. When the door of justice was opened to you, The door of hell was closed to you. Justice pours water on death, Tyranny binds the sleep of sedition. The joy of the hearts of the oppressors is Pleasant and brief like the sleep of the sick. For the intellect there is a soul-enhancing musk-seller, Justice is a kingdom-adorning cosmetologist. For the religious law, intellect is the champion, For the kingdom, justice is the guardian. A king must not be a slave to the body, So that his preacher would not be a liar. The mosquito lives much less than the elephant, Because the blood-drinker is short-lived.
