حمل و ثور و پیکر جوزا
سرطان و اسد دلیل بقا

خوشهٔ خاک و کفهٔ میزان
عقرب مائی و زنار کمان

جدی خاکی و دلو و حوت بهم
از هوا و ز آب داده رقم

بره و شیر ناریست و کمان
گاو و خوشه و بز ز خاک گران

باز دو پیکر و ترازو و دول
از هوا یافت بهره بیش ممول

هست خرچنگ و گزدم و ماهی
که بر آبستشان شهنشاهی

حمل و عقربست از این تاریخ
که شدستند خانهٔ مریخ

ثور و میزان ز زهره دارد بهر
زهره چون شاه و ثور و میزان شهر

پس از این هست خوشه و جوزا
کز عطارد گرفته اند بها

سرطان خانهٔ قمر گویند
شمس را جز اسد کجا جویند

قوس و حوتست خانهٔ هرمزد
جدی و دلو از زحل بجوید مزد

English translation

Aries, Taurus, and the figure of Gemini, Cancer and Leo, the guides of existence. The earthy Virgo and the pan of Libra, The watery Scorpio and the belt of Sagittarius. The earthy Capricorn, Aquarius, and Pisces together, Are marked by air and water. Aries, Leo, and Sagittarius are fiery, Taurus, Virgo, and Capricorn are of heavy earth. Again, Gemini, Libra, and Aquarius Received the most share of air. Cancer, Scorpio, and Pisces, Their sovereignty is over water. Aries and Scorpio, in this configuration, Have become the houses of Mars. Taurus and Libra receive their share from Venus, Venus is like the king, and Taurus and Libra are the cities. After these are Virgo and Gemini, Which have received their value from Mercury. They say Cancer is the house of the Moon, Where else but Leo would they seek the Sun? Sagittarius and Pisces are the houses of Jupiter, Capricorn and Aquarius seek their reward from Saturn.
