Section 2 - On the Tale
Original content
English translation
David the prophet read for sixty years The Psalms of the Glorious Lord to the people. What a wonder! When he raised his voice, It did not leave anyone's reason in its place. The wind would stop blowing, remaining quiet, The leaves on the branches became all ears. The water would stop running, becoming still, The birds would be dismissed from flying. Although his sweet voice was abundant, It was not out of mourning; it was merely a performance. Consequently, not a single human being wept; The people listened and lived happily. At last, when he received a blow from destiny, His heart and soul were turned completely upside down. He went out into the wilderness to sing his lamentation, And from his lamentation, a river of blood began to flow. When his sweet voice became filled with pain, Oh, what a wonder! Forty thousand perished there. Whoever heard that voice from afar Would lose patience and surrender their life. Until a call came: 'O pure David, Forty thousand people have perished because of you. Before this, no one's eyes were moistened; Now look how effective it has become. Inevitably, now that your own trial has arrived, A fire has fallen into your days. Since your lamentation arose from the pain of your trial, I have sacrificed forty thousand souls for you. Your sweet voice was even greater than this before, But the lamentation of mourning is something else entirely. Whatever manifests from true pain Will come to the wilderness to slaughter the creation. We demanded the pain of faith from Adam, So that we might adorn the world through him. When he became a man of pain in his essence, He was cleansed of the color and scent of Paradise. A woman chooses color and scent; What does a man have to do with color and scent? Inevitably, when the command 'Go down' was addressed to him, He became pain and agitation from head to toe. Whoever's heart became alive with devotion Became a special servant to God. He did not turn away from courtesy as long as he lived; Therefore, his head was always bowed down.
