در جهان یک زیان چو سود تو نیست
هیچ حبس ابد چو بود تو نیست

ظهرالنور ذوالمنن باشد
بطل الزور جان و تن باشد

غیب خواهی خودی زره بردار
عیب را با سرای غیب چه کار

غیب گو گرد سرخ یزدان است
زردرویی کشوری زانست

تو پر از عیب و قصد عالم غیب
نتوان کرد خاصه با شک و ریب

برنخیزد به دست بیخردیت
از دو پای نهاد بند خودیت

بود تو چون ترا حجاب آمد
عقل تو با تو در عتاب آمد

گفت رو نفس را بکن بدرود
ورنه برساز از این دو چشم دورود

روز و شب در فراق عقل بنال
بیش با عقل خود بدی مسگال

عقل را زین عقیله باز رهان
بعد از آن عیش بر تو گشت آسان

بینی آنگه که یابی از دل قوت
ملک را از دریچهٔ ملکوت

English translation

In the world, no loss is like your profit; No life imprisonment is like your own existence. The manifestation of Light is the Lord of Favors; The negation of falsehood is body and soul. If you desire the Unseen, remove your selfhood from the path; What business does defect have with the abode of the Unseen? The teller of the Unseen is the red gold of God; The paleness of the kingdom is because of that. You are full of faults, yet you aim for the world of the Unseen; This cannot be done, especially with doubt and suspicion. By the hand of your ignorance, the bond of selfhood Will not be removed from the two feet of your nature. Since your existence became a veil for you, Your intellect came to reproach you. It said, 'Go, bid farewell to the carnal self, Or else prepare two rivers of tears from these eyes.' Lament day and night in the absence of intellect; Do not plot evil against your intellect anymore. Free the intellect from this shackle; Thereafter, life will become easy for you. You shall then see, when you gain strength from the heart, The physical realm through the window of the celestial kingdom.
