بوسعید مهنه قبضی داشت سخت
خادمی را گفت زود ای نیکبخت

سخت بی خویشم دمی با خویشم آر
هرکه را بینی برون شو پیشم آر

تا سخن گوید ز هر جانی مرا
راه بگشاید مگر جایی مرا

رفت خادم دید گبری خواندش
پیش شیخ آوردش و بنشاندش

شیخ گفتش حال خویشم بازگوی
نقد وقت خویش پیشم بازگوی

گبر گفتش ای امام هر یکی
در وجود آمد مرا دی کودکی

کردمش من نام جاویدان زیاد
دوش مرد و شیخ جاویدان زیاد

English translation

Abu Sa'id of Mehne experienced a severe spiritual contraction, He quickly said to his servant, "O fortunate one, I am deeply alienated from myself, bring me back to my senses for a moment, Go out and bring before me whomever you see, So that he may speak to me from any spirit, Perhaps he will open a path for me somewhere." The servant went, saw a Zoroastrian, and called him, He brought him before the Sheikh and seated him. The Sheikh said to him, "Recount to me your state, Relate to me the immediate reality of your time." The Zoroastrian said to him, "O Imam of everyone, Yesterday a child was born to me. I named him 'May he live forever', Last night he died, and may the Sheikh live forever!"
