موسی عمران یکی شاگرد داشت
کو به استادی بسی سر میفراشت

شد به شهری دور از موسی مگر
مینیامد دیرگاه از وی خبر

جست بسیاری ازو موسی نشان
محو شد گفتی نشانش از جهان

در رهی یک روز موسی میدوید
دید مردی را که خوکی میکشید

گفت موسی کز کجائی ای غلام
گفت هستم از فلان شهر ای امام

گفت شاگرد منست آنجایگاه
گفت آن شاگرد تست این خوک راه

در تعجب ماند موسی زان حدیث
تا چگونه گشت خوکی آن خبیث

در مناجات آمد او پیش خدای
گفت سر این بگو ای رهنمای

گفت علم دین که این مرد از تو یافت
جانش از دون همتی می بر نتافت

رفت از وی دنیی دون صید کرد
دین مطلق را بدنیا قید کرد

مرد دنیا بود با دنیا بساخت
دین خود در شیوهٔ دنیا بباخت

لاجرم من مسخ گردانیدمش
جامهٔ چون خوک پوشانیدمش

امت پیغامبر آخر زمان
یافتند از مسخ گردیدن امان

آنکه در دنیا امانشان داده ام
تا بروز دین زمانشان داده ام

گر کسی از امت او این کند
خویش را در حشر مسخ دین کند

گر نخواهد کرد توبه مرد راه
بس که خواهد بود خوک آنجایگاه

چند خواهی نفس را پرورد تو
صحبت خوکی چه خواهی کرد تو

خر ز بیم خوک بگریزد مدام
چون تو نگریزی خری باشی تمام

English translation

Moses of Amram had a student, Who held his head high in mastery. He happened to go to a city far from Moses, And for a long time, no news of him arrived. Moses sought his trace extensively, You would say his trace had vanished from the world. One day, as Moses was hurrying along a path, He saw a man pulling a pig. Moses asked, 'Where are you from, O young man?' He replied, 'I am from such-and-such city, O Imam.' Moses said, 'I have a student in that place.' The man said, 'This pig on the road is that student of yours.' Moses stood astonished at this story, Wondering how that wicked one had turned into a pig. He entered into supplication before God, Saying, 'Reveal the secret of this, O Guide.' God said, 'The religious knowledge he gained from you, His soul, out of base ambition, could not bear. He went and used it to hunt the base world, He bound absolute religion to the world. He was a man of the world, he compromised with the world, He squandered his religion for the ways of the world. Consequently, I metamorphosed him, And clothed him in the garb of a pig. The community of the Prophet of the End of Time, Have found safety from being physically transformed. Because I have given them safety in this world, I have granted them respite until the Day of Judgment. But if anyone from his community commits this act, He will spiritually transform himself at the Resurrection. If the traveler on the path refuses to repent, He will surely be a pig in that place. How long will you nourish the carnal soul? Why do you wish to keep company with a pig? A donkey constantly flees in fear from a pig, If you do not flee, you are an absolute donkey.'
