Section 6 - The Tale and the Parable

Original content

English translation

One winter night, the intoxicated Bohloul, Walked with his feet in the mud and a shoe in his hand. An inquirer asked him, "Since you are on the way, Where are you intending to go from this place?" He replied, "I am hurrying towards the graveyard, Because an oppressor is in torment there. I go because his grave is full of fire, So I may warm myself, for the cold is unpleasant." For one person, death is such as this, While for another, their death is a provision. Oppression casts fire into your inner being, It throws you into the midst of dust and blood. Even though the path of oppression was taken by those before, Whoever takes that path goes astray.
