بیدلی را بود مالی بر کسی
در تقاضا رنج میدادش بسی

گرچه میرنجید مرد وام دار
زر بدودادن نبودش اختیار

چون خصومت در میان بسیارشد
بر دو خصم آن کار بس دشوار شد

بود درویشی به بیدل گفت خیز
تا بود در گردنش تا رستخیز

زر قیامت بهترت آید بکار
پس بدو بگذار و از وی کن کنار

گفت بیدل در قیامت من ازو
نقد نتوانم ستد روشن ازو

هیچ او فردا بمن ندهد خموش
زان شدم امروز با او سخت کوش

مرد گفتا می ندانم سر این
شرح ده تا این شکم گردد یقین

گفت چون هردو برآئیم از قفس
او و من هر دو یکی باشیم و بس

هر کجا توحید بنماید خدای
شرک باشد گر دوئی ماند بجای

در حقیقت چون من او و او منم
لاجرم آنجا نباشد دشمنم

لیک اینجا نیست توحید آشکار
زو ستانم چون زرم آید بکار

این زمانش زر ستانم بیشکی
بعد ازین هر دو شویم آنگه یکی

گر عدد گردد احد کاری بود
ورنه بی شک رنج بسیاری بود

English translation

A mystic had some money owed to him by someone, He gave him much trouble in demanding it. Although the debtor suffered, He had no means to give him the gold. When hostility became great between them, The matter became very difficult for the two adversaries. There was a dervish who said to the mystic, "Arise! Let it be on his neck until Resurrection. Gold will be of more use to you on Judgment Day, So leave it to him and turn away from him." The mystic said, "In the Resurrection, I Clearly cannot take cash from him. He will give me nothing tomorrow, be silent! That is why I am being so harsh with him today." The man said, "I do not know the secret of this, Explain it so that this doubt becomes certainty for me." He said, "When both of us emerge from the cage, He and I will both be one, and that is all. Wherever God reveals His Unity (Tawhid), It would be polytheism (Shirk) if duality remains. In truth, since I am he and he is me, Inevitably, he will not be my enemy there. But here, Unity is not manifest, I will take it from him since gold is useful to me. At this time I will take the gold from him without a doubt, After this, we will both become one. If plurality becomes unity, it will be a true feat, Otherwise, without a doubt, there will be much suffering."
