Section 5 - The Tale and the Parable

Original content

English translation

Suddenly, a dryness arose in Bahlool, He went before the king and asked him for some sheep's tail fat. The king decided to test him, perhaps, To see if he could distinguish one thing from another. He ordered that turnips be chopped into small pieces, A servant chopped them and brought them before him. When he had eaten a little of the bread and that turnip, He threw it upon the ground and suffered a handful of sorrow. He said to the king, "Ever since you became king, Richness has vanished from the tail-fat in this place. Food has lost its sweetness due to your oppression; One must truly depart from your city."
