آن یکی دیوانه سرافراشته
سر بسوی آسمان برداشته

خوش زفان بگشاد و گفت ای کردگار
گر ترا نگرفت دل زین کار و بار

دل مرا بگرفت تا چندت ازین
دل نشد سیر ای خداوندت ازین

English translation

That proud madman, Who raised his head toward the sky, Sweetly opened his tongue and said, 'O Creator, If Your heart has not grown weary of this business, My heart has grown weary; how long will You go on with this? Has Your heart not become satiated, O Lord, of this?'
