کاملی گفته ست از پیران راه
هر که عزم حج کند از جایگاه

کرد باید خان ومانش را وداع
فارغش باید شد از باغ وضیاع

خصم را باید خوشی خشنود کرد
گر زیانی کرده باشی سود کرد

بعد از آن ره رفت روز و شب مدام
تا شوی تو محرم بیت الحرام

چون رسیدی کعبه دیدی چیست کار
آنکه نه روزت بود نه شب قرار

جز طوافت کار نبود بر دوام
کار سرگردانیت باشد مدام

تا بدانی تو که در پایان کار
نیست کس الا که سرگردان کار

عاقبت چون غرق خون افتادنست
همچو گردون سرنگون افتادنست

آنچه میجوئی نمیآید بدست
وز طلب یک لحظه مینتوان نشست

English translation

A perfect one among the elders of the path has said, Whoever resolves to perform the Hajj from his dwelling place, Must bid farewell to his home and belongings, He must detach himself from his gardens and estates. He must gladly satisfy his adversaries, And if he has caused any loss, he must make amends. After that, he must travel the road continuously, day and night, Until he becomes an initiate of the Sacred House. When you reach the Kaaba, do you see what the work is? It is that you have no rest, neither day nor night. Your only constant task is circumambulation, Your continuous task is bewilderment and circling. So that you may know that at the end of the affair, No one exists except the one bewildered by the task. In the end, since it means falling, drowned in blood, It means falling headlong like the revolving heavens. That which you seek cannot be grasped, Yet from seeking, you cannot sit still for a single moment.
